The Quincy Police Department, in partnership with M.A.D.M.M., is proud to announce the launch of the Pedals for Peace Initiative, a holiday community program designed to provide bicycles to youth in the City of Quincy this Christmas season while encouraging positive engagement and civic pride among young residents.
The Pedals for Peace Initiative is open to children between the ages of 7 and 17 who reside within the City of Quincy. As part of the application process, participants are asked to submit a short paragraph answering the question, “Why do I like living in my city, and what would make it better?” This portion of the initiative is intended to give youth a voice, promote reflection on their community, and encourage thoughtful ideas about making Quincy an even better place to live.
Entry forms may be picked up in person at the Quincy Police Department Monday through Friday, between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., or requested by emailing thepaperworkconsultant@gmail.com. All completed submissions must be received by December 19. Selected participants will receive their bicycles on December 23, just in time for the Christmas holiday.
